          • ACORAB Celebrates First World Radio Day
            The First World Radio Day has commemorated to mark the achievement of radio broadcast, once limited to Singha Durbar, the country's central secretariat. The then communications minister Jhala Nath Khanal, who had issued the first licence for radio broadcast to the group of journalists to protect the environment fourteen years ago.

          • Accounting and Broadcast Technical Training for community radios
            ACORAB conducted a three days residential “Accounting and Financial Management System AND Broadcast Technical Training” for enhance capacity of Accountants and Technicians from new member radio stations all over Nepal. The training was organized in Chitwan, Sauraha from 16 to 18 December 2011.

          • AIBD’s Director visits ACORAB
            Director of Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) Mr. Yang Binyuan prasied work progress of Community radios in Nepal. In his visit to ACORAB he shared since a decade community radios in Nepal have played a significant role in social transformation. He further added Nepal’s Community radios are contributing in community’s peace and social cohesion.

Above 200 community radio stations spread across 74 districts of the nation form the core membership of this association. It works to advance the cause of community radio, facilitates the sharing of knowledge and resources, and speaks with one voice for the community that it represents.
