February 13, the World Radio Day, is a day to celebrate radio as a medium; to improve existing international cooperation between broadcasters; and to encourage major networks and community radio alike to promote access to information and freedom of expression over the airwaves. In Nepal, on the occasion of 2nd World Radio Day, ACORAB organized the National 2nd World Radio Day Celebration Programmme in Kathmandu on February 13, 2013 to celebrate the contributions of Nepalese community radios in social transformation and overall national development.
